We don’t always use travel agents for our travels but considered using one to save us some time in researching the best sites and hotels. We sought potential agents through an on site service and because Samuel (CaramelTrail) was very prompt to reply, was a Spanish citizen and provided very detailed information right away we decided to use his services.
While his services were not the least expensive as compared to other agencies that responded, what Samuel did provide was an individualized itinerary with the option to make changes while we were traveling, dedicated guides at each city who met us at our hotel, reservations for hotels and train tickets between cities, recommendations for restaurants (with option to make reservations for us), and other information such as detailed directions, instructions for parking and the like.
Samuel actually met us twice during our travels as his locations happened to coincide with ours. Overall we’d rate the service very high. This agency benefits people like us who want to travel independently but do not necessarily have a lot of time to devote to the planning. The guides were all exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, often leaving some extra time in case there was something else that we wanted their help with.
As promised, Samuel was available by phone and email at all hours and responded promptly to all inquiries. We were very satisfied with this agency and would give it the highest recommendation.
