This past March my wife and I returned to Spain for our second travel experience with CaramelTrail. Nothing has changed, it was as wonderful as the first time.
Our initial aim was to visit Valencia because of our fascination with all things paella. But, this trip was so much more than that.
We traveled to the Matarrana region, the Tuscany of Spain. Our visits to Fuentespalda and Siguenza were incredible. Near Leon, we went to a remote village to visit Bodega El Capricho, a stunning restaurant specializing in beef. Actually it's so much more than a restaurant. It is an ox farm and vineyard as well. We had a private tour of the farm, meat curing cellar, and the wine cellar followed by an amazing tasting menu.
Spain is a beautiful country we enjoy very much. What brings the experience to another whole level is CaramelTrail. Paloma and Samuel, once again, did an incredible job of organizing and making sure that our time in Spain was everything we hoped for. The choice of guides, chauffeurs, hotels and paradores, and the gastronomic experiences set CaramelTrail apart from other agencies. This was our second trip to Europe using CaramelTrail and working with Samuel Rojo.
We wanted to visit Portugal, spend some time by the sea in Spain and have a short visit to Morocco while in Spain. Sam took time to talk with us a couple of times, gave us great advice on creating a manageable itinerary and planned a number of activities/adventures for the kids.
CaramelTrail personnel was great (checking on us every day to make sure we are all set for the next day), everything worked perfectly, everyone was on schedule: drivers, tour guides, etc.

We just returned from our third trip to Spain and Portugal.  Carameltrail has planned all of them and they've all been amazing.  We had friends with us who had never been to either country before.  It was so nice to know that all the guides, hotels, and activities that Carameltrail uses and plans for are top notch and provide excellent service so that our friends would have just as amazing a time as we've had before. We are just returning home from the best vacation ever and I can't recommend Carameltrail  highly enough! Angela with Carameltrail guided us in the planning process before our journey begin and stayed in contact during our travels. The experience was seamless and stress-free. Angela is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cared about creating the perfect itinerary. She took the time to understand our preferences and suggested unique destinations and activities. Angela cared so much she met us at our hotel in Madrid. During our travels we were in contact with Angela and Paloma by WhatsApp and they created a Tourwriters App we could use to keep our schedule at our fingertips.

Every detail, from flights, private drivers/car service, train tickets, and hotel accommodations (we often said we must be living right to get this room) but we knew the real truth was Carameltrail.  We enjoyed walking tours, Tapas tours, private cooking class & a farm to table lunch experience in a private home in Portugal national forest. All these activities were planned by Carameltrail. We talked with all the guides and drivers  we came in contact with and they all appreciated the working relationship with Carameltrail. Not one detail was over looked and they were quick to answer if we needed anything during our travels.

There are not enough words to thank you for planning a “trip of a lifetime,” to help us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.
You planned to the minutest of details, an elaborate trip that took us from Madrid, to Morocco, where we visited Casablanca, Volubilis, Meknas, Fez, and Marrakesh; it was a beautiful cultural experience. We then returned to Madrid, where we explored this magical city with its wonderful museums. From there, you planned for us thoughtful visits to Laredo, Córdoba, Sevilla, Ronda, Grazalema, Jerez, the beautiful Costa de la Luz, Málaga, Granada and the amazing Alhambra, and finally the Axarquía area and the beautiful Spanish Mediterranean coast.
You made yourselves available to us for any need that might arise, at any time. You were attentive to details, and you obviously are experienced in planning elaborate, special, and personal trips.
The guides you assigned for us were knowledgeable and experienced.
You selected special, and often historic hotels for us to rest after long days of touring, enjoying culture and food. We were made to feel at home. And we are convinced that we would not have found these hotels on our own, but more importantly, we would not have been able to plan such a beautiful trip on our own, no matter the research.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Carameltrail… For our trip a comprehensive itinerary with details on each location listing the main attractions helped us prepare in advance and, from start to finish, we had a wonderful time on our honeymoon  — hotels were all centrally located with high quality rooms and included excellent breakfasts, transfers were right on time with good drivers, tickets for activities and trains were booked in advance and all of personal tour guides were outstanding. Angela and Paloma were readily available for assistance, resolved any unexpected issues promptly and they provided thoughtful touches like a welcome gift at our first hotel check-in with a personal note. What an amazing experience with our trip to Spain and Portugal planned by Samuel and Paloma from Caramel Trail. From the very first email to the very last, it was just perfect! This was our very first time in Spain and Portugal (in Europe in general) and how many great memories we made. Everything was so well planned, every choice was perfect and Samuel and Paloma available to us 24/7. Every single person we interacted with was so nice and kind and so knowledgeable, we learned so much. Note that we were traveling with 3 kids, one of them being 6 years old but everyone was so accommodating and always mindful of them, it made the trip so easy.

I cannot say enough about our experience with Carameltrail! They arranged a trip that completely met our desires, tastes, and budget, and constructed an itinerary that allowed us to enjoy every minute without having to think about where to go, what to do and how to get there. It was no thinking, just doing!!!  It was PERFECT!!!  The attention to detail, follow up, checking in, and things booked for us were incredible!  The hotel choices were AMAZING! The tour guides/locations were FABULOUS! And the experiences, including a Tapas Tour and a Cooking Class, were AWESOME!!!  I actually want to travel to another location that they work with solely for the reason that they provide services there!  I could not be happier with Carameltrail! Our trip to Portugal this month (April 2022) was our first time traveling since pandemic impact so many things.  We could not have been happier with our trip and the expertise and care Samuel & Paloma took to make everything go so smoothly.
Our itinerary was Lisbon to Viseu to Porto for a week long visit.  The guides that Samuel arranged  in Lisbon and Porto were not only top-notch, but very friendly and went above and beyond.  The true surprise and highlight of our trip was Douro Valley.  It is truly a magical place made only more special by the amazing lodging Samuel selected at the Six Senses Hotel.  We have travelled extensively and that hotel was truly the best one we have ever stayed at!
Time to get out there and see this amazing world- and we highly recommend you use Samuel with Caramel Trail to make all the arrangements. You will not be disappointed.

Caramel Trail is amazing!  We've taken two trips that the Caramel Trail team organized and they've both been perfect.  The first trip in 2017 was six weeks in Spain and the second trip in 2022 was six weeks in Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.  Both trips were excellent.  Samuel and Paloma know how to take care of every detail to ensure a great experience is had by everyone.  They really work hard to ensure an amazing trip and it shows. We can't say enough good things about Caramel Trail travel agency.  Manuel and Paloma manage a great business which offers special care for its clients throughout their journey.  Our stay in Portugal and Spain consisted of seventeen nights of pure enjoyment.

We visited Lisbon, Porto, Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Triana, Alhambra, Grandada, Nerja, Axarquia, Frigiliana and our last stop was fabulous Malaga.  The choice of hotels and restaurants were excellentat at each stop.

Everything was well organized as Paloma and Manuel were available 24/7 to take care of whatever we needed.
The drivers and guides all did a great job as we were picked up at all locations in a timely manner.  Fortunately, we had no problems whatsoever which is a major credit to all Caramel Trail personnel.

We highly recommend Caramel Trail to any and all who choose to visit Portugal, Spain or Morocco.  You will easily realize that you are in good hands once you begin your journey.

My wife and I recently returned from a two week trip to Spain which was arranged for us by Angela Vigil Martinez and Carameltrail. It was a fantastic vacation from beginning to end. Angela helped us plan out the itinerary and arranged for all our drivers, guides, train reservations, and hotel accommodations. We had several pre-trip telephone calls and emails during which Angela carefully listened to our interests and provided us with many excellent recommendations to plan our itinerary.  There were a lot of moving parts, but, despite this, everything worked out seamlessly. Angela was in constant contact with us throughout the trip and incredibly responsive to any minor problems we had. I cannot speak highly enough about our experience with Angela and Paloma  with Carameltrail.  We traveled to Spain for our anniversary.  Angela created a dream itinerary.  It was very clear that she listened to our goals for the trip and gave us a superb experience. My very favorite part was that once in Spain, we didn't have to really think about anything. She handled every detail and both Angela and Paloma were available and extremely responsive via a WhatsApp chat set up for the trip when we had questions. The tours were private with charismatic, friendly, and knowledgeable tour guides that really enriched the experience. The travel between cities was effortless. Hotels were super spectacular and perfect locations. The tour guides were wonderful and the drivers were superb.
