We had a wonderful experience working with this travel agency. The planning process with Angela was excellent—she responded quickly to our questions, made changes right away, and truly understood what we wanted to do during our trip.
Throughout the trip, the ongoing support from Angela and Paloma was incredibly valuable. Having their real-time assistance gave us great peace of mind.
All of the activities they scheduled were high quality and thoughtfully selected. We also really appreciated the advance materials; the read-ahead was clear, well organized, and very helpful. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.
One area for improvement would be tour timing and flexibility. Offering more flexibility within longer tours would be helpful. We tend to prefer shorter tours, and a few ran longer than expected without much advance notice, which made it a bit challenging to plan around them.
It would also be helpful to have everything centralized in an app. While the website content was excellent, navigation was somewhat slow and often jumped back to the top of the page. Additionally, consistently receiving confirmation of the tour guide the night before—and being proactively connected with the guide ahead of time—would enhance the experience. We also typically like to see a detailed line-item breakdown of costs, though we understand why this isn’t always shared.
We are extremely grateful for the level of real-time support the team provided. From helping us rent a car to pick up a friend to securing a new hotel on short notice, they were responsive, available, and incredibly helpful. That real-time support was truly the highlight of the experience.
Most importantly, the Carameltrail team is extremely kind, thoughtful, and a pleasure to work with. We would absolutely recommend this agency to others.
